*Please note that for adults and teenagers, I can provide a meal plan if that is desired. For children and infants, however, I provide a guide and ideas but it is more stressful to provide portion sizes and measurements as their appetites vary from day to day and they should not be pressured into eating a certain amount.

What Other Clients Are Saying

Mia helped my baby and I so much in one session. She is so knowledgeable and also willing to find you extra resources/answers. Our session definitely empowered me to start our baby-led weaning journey successfully.
Before our consultation, I was so worried about food and what to feed my picky toddler. Using Mia's practical approach and strategies, we have introduced so many new foods in low pressure settings. He is definitely more adventurous and a healthy happy boy.
Mia met with me during each of my three trimesters and right after I had the baby. I had a healthy happy vegan pregnancy and am now exclusively breastfeeding my child 8 months later. Thanks to Mia, I was not anxious about what nutrients my baby needed as she set everything out so clearly for us.

Meet the Expert

Hi! I'm Mia, a Registered Dietitian originally from Cape Town, South Africa. Currently I am in Gaborone, Botswana, I have also lived in the USA (Texas, Ohio & Indiana) and the UAE (Al Ain).

One of my favorite things about being exposed to other cultures and expats are the many different foods I've gotten to try and love. This ultimately led me to becoming a Dietitian to specialize in all things nutrition science!

One thing that is common across the many different places I have lived is the struggle with childhood nutrition. Sometimes the importance of developing a positive relationship with food is underestimated during this time and I am here to help you take the guess work out of what to feed your family but more importantly how to do it.

Living in Africa where socio-economic circumstances are not always ideal has made me a very passionate advocate for breastfeeding and I have taken extensive courses as well as worked hands on with moms & babies in order to become a breastfeeding expert. Across the board this is something that families struggle with the most during infancy and with empowerment and support this can definitely be a beautiful successful journey (however that looks like to you).

I believe that nutrition should be individualized and practical in a way that works for you and your situation!
